Want to Volunteer?
Both of our locations are currently accepting volunteer applications. Complete an application to begin the process. If you are under 18 years of age you won't be able to become a volunteer but you can accompany a parent or guardian as long as they have completed the onboarding process and are over 18 years of age.

Want to Foster Kittens?
Kitten fosters are our greatest foster need. This involves caring for kittens until they are 8 weeks old and weigh 2 pounds. Kitten fostering varies in difficulty, the application will determine which age of kitten is best suited for you to foster. Prairie Paws provides all of the supplies, you provide the love!
Want to Foster Dogs?
Dog fosters are crucial to giving our dogs a break from the shelter environment. Nursing mothers, puppies and senior dogs benefit tremendously from time in a home. Many other dogs suffer from "shelter-specific" challenges that are not exhibited in the home, and you can help all of these dogs!
Need Community Service Hours?
Currently only the Manhattan location can offer community service hours. To get started call 785-587-2783 or stop in during business hours to complete the required paperwork.
